Comprehension is assessed each Friday in a form of a Cold Read. Cold Reads are reading passages students have never seen before. They are expected to use their test taking strategies and answer questions that are similar to the SOL test. Students are also assessed in IStation and on the third nine weeks benchmark test.
Types of skills students use was assessed 2/25 using the Metacomprehension Strategy Index and A Classroom-Modifed Reading Strategy Use Table.
A writing snapshot was given March 11.
The DIBELS oral fluency and retell test was given in April to eight students.
